Q. What are the Learning facilities at KAIM?
KAIM campus has state-of-the-art computing facilities and spacious lecture theatres supported by an extensive library, residency facilities and a student recreational centre. Our campus has the right balance between concrete structure and natural ambience, in line with our mandate of holistic development.
The classrooms and the seminar halls are fully air - conditioned for long hours of teaching and interactive participation with a spacious well - planned campus. All classrooms and seminar halls are equipped with state-of-the-art audio-video aids with ceiling mounted LCDs. The state-of-the-art auditorium is equipped with the latest audio-visual equipment in a centrally air-conditioned environment. The auditorium is used round the year for hosting intra and inter college events like seminars, conferences, debates, and cultural activities. It is also utilized by industry associations for conferences and seminars.
For training and MDP sessions there is a dedicated 'Executive Training Centre' with lounge and classrooms, equipped with the entire necessary infrastructure to enhance learning and experience sharing during. All management programmes have a lot of learning accruing from student self-directed team work. Separate syndicate rooms with computing facilities to help student discussions and group tasks.
The Computer center is equipped with branded personal computers adequately supported by high speed internet round-the-clock for student access. The entire campus is connected with Wi-Fi network. Apart from providing a life-long web-based email account, student also has facilities for online testing, discussion boards and courseware exchange.

Q. What is the Programme structure at KAIM
Ans : Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a two year program, with 4 semesters of 6-months each. After completion of 1-year of study, students are required to undergo 6-8 weeks training in companies of repute. The purpose of training is to enhance and to get familiarized with the corporate environment.
To ensure that the teaching is effective and classroom environment is vitalized, resource is adopted to an assortment of teaching methods. The traditional lecture method is supplemented with other modes of instruction which include group discussions, role playing, case studies, research oriented surveys, seminars, workshops etc. The sole motive behind providing vestibule environment is to provide cutting edge analytical skills to the students.

Q. What is Learning Development Unit?
Ans: The LDU has a significant contribution towards student development by providing the following services:
- Personality Development Programmes: The personality development programme aims at strengthening and developing the students for the corporate world. Industry specific need based workshops are conducted to enhance students' soft skills as confidence, attitude, interpersonal skills and basic etiquettes and grooming.
- Mentoring: Each student is assigned a faculty mentor for his/her stay at the institute. The mentor helps students in their holistic development along with motivating them to achieve personal and professional excellence.
- Psychometric Testing: The psychometric tests are conducted which help the students to understand themselves, their skills and competence and identify the lacunae for further development. LDU offers various assessment tools like personality, motivation, attitude, anxiety for the students.
- Focused Group Discussions: Focused group discussions are conducted amongst the students on the most relevant issues faced by them and they also share their own experiences. It provides an opportunity for disclosure with similar set of people and help them to learn from other's experiences.
- Counselling Services: Counselling services are offered to the students in order to help them in realizing their true self. Counselors are available on the campus to help the students in managing their career aspirations, managing emotions, handling situations.
- Resource Centre: A well equipped Resource Centre with self help books, psychometric tests, audio video aids operates at the campus that encourages students towards self help.
Q. What extra curricular activities do you have on campus ?
Ans: The Institute focuses on holistic development of the students and provides support in all non-academic and co-curricular activities. Q. What placement services does KAIM have?
Ans: KAIM attracts some of the best recruiters from India and Abroad. The Industry Engagement facilitates excellent placements as well as desired career shifts. A team of dedicated and trained professionals provides career counselling and domain expertise and a separate team is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with recruiters and initiate the process of matching available positions in Industry with the talent available from the student pool at KAIM.
The placement process commences with a series of pre-placement talks (PPT) by the job posting and preliminary selection process by recruiters . The placement process starts in the month of October and continues till the end of the course.
The Career Management Center is a unique initiative of KAIM. It has as its foundation the aim of providing a comprehensive array of services and support for its students and alumni that will assist them in their life-long career development and placement.
The Industry engagement center acts as a central hub for all student development and placement related activities and is a repository of all information and resources. It builds in its students the competencies that are valued by prospective employers, forecasting those that will be essential from a future perspective. It provides a forum for future employers to articulate their human resource needs, and accordingly, groom and recommend students for internships and placement. The Industry Engagement recognizes that student knowledge, skills and attitude play a vital role in their career choices. Ans: We provide placement assistance for life.
Q. What about Summer Internship? Do you provide it? If yes on what basis or which Company?
Ans : Summer Internship is schedule for six to eight weeks in the month of May-June every year.
Our institute facilitates summer internship for its students by giving them an opportunity to choose one of the industry areas prevailing in the corporate. Based on these choices, an analysis is done by the Placement Team and opportunities are created for the students in the desired and opted sector.

Q. I have not given MAT or CAT or any other exam am I eligible for the PI?
Ans: Yes, you need to fulfill minimum criteria of AICTE. For details contact to college.
Q. Do you have Management Quota?
Ans : Yes, 25% seats are reserved for the quota. But fee is the same.
Q. What kind of financial aid do you offer?
KAIM Institute helps those students who are unable to secure loan from banks by providing financial assistance and loan facility to all students from our student Financial Services. It also has tied up with PNB Bank.

Q. Is CMAT going to be conducted ONLINE?
Yes, CMAT will be a computer-based test (CBT). A candidate will read the questions on a computer terminal and choose an answer by clicking on the correct option.
Q. How is the computer-based format different from the paper-based format?
The format of the test is more or less the same except that a candidate reads a question on a computer terminal and clicks on the correct answer, instead of reading on a paper booklet and using a pencil to darken the ovals on an answer sheet.
Q. Can I take the test from any computer?
No. A candidate will have to test on a pre-assigned workstation and will not have a choice to choose his or her workstation, in the testing venue chosen by him/her during the time of registration.
Q. What does a Computer Based Test look like?
CMAT trial test is available on the website www.aicte-cmat.in for candidates to get familiarized with the functionality and navigation of the actual Computer Based test.
TEST DURATION & PATTERN
Q. How many sections are there in the test?
There will be four sections in the test. The sections are (a) Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation b) Logical Reasoning c) Language Comprehension and d) General Awareness

•The candidate must hold a recognized bachelor’s degree of three year duration after 10+2.
•Candidates who have appeared in the final year exams of Bachelor’s degree program and are awaiting results can also appear in the test.
Q. Can I appear for CMAT for practice purpose, though I am aware that I am not eligible?
Q. Is there any age restriction for appearing in CMAT?
No, there is no age restriction for appearing in CMAT.
Q. What is the fee for the test?
The fee is Rs.1200 + Bank charges as applicable for General / OBC candidates. If you belong to the SC/ST/PD category then you need to pay a fee of Rs.600 + Bank charges as applicable
Q. Where do I pay my fees?

Q. When and how do I register for CMAT 2012 ?
Online registration for CMAT 2012 will begin on Friday, 9th December 2011 and end on Monday, 9 January 2012. Additional instructions for the online application and registration process are also available on the website www.aicte-cmat.in
Q. Can I use my coaching institute’s or a friend’s email address when registering for CMAT?
No, you need to have a valid and unique email address of yourself which you will be using atleast for the next six months
Q. Can I pay the fees through Bank Demand Draft or Cheque?
No. Fees can only be paid online or through cash deposit in any of the SBI bank branch.
Q. When will CMAT be held and can I choose a test city?
CMAT will be held during the period Monday, 20 February 2012 – Tuesday, 28 February 2012. Yes, you can select up-to 3 cities giving order of preference towards your test city. The first choice of city will be given due consideration and weightage. However, actual allotment as per order of choice will be subject to availability of the slot in the particular city.

Q. When will I get my Admit Card?
You can PRINT your ADMIT CARD by going to website www.aicte-cmat.in from 30th Jan 2012
Q. What details will be mentioned in the Admit Card?
The admit card will contain the name of the candidate, CMAT Roll number, test date, time, reporting time at the venue, venue name, venue address and instructions for the candidate.
Q. Will Admit Card be sent to me as a hard copy by mail?
No. Apart from ADMIT CARD available ONLINE on the website, The admit card will be sent to the email address provided by you. It is therefore, mandatory for you to have a valid email account throughout the selection process. Note: Admit Card is a mandatory requirement in order to take the test. You must bring a print out of your Admit Card to the test centre.
Q. What are the different Time Slots of the Test?
A typical testing day for CMAT will have 2 exam sessions. Session timings are as follows: a. Session 1: Testing will begin at 9:30 AM. Candidates are required to arrive at the test centre no later than 8:00 AM for security checks, identity verification, and checking in. b. Session 2: Testing will begin at 2:30 PM. Candidates are required to arrive at the test centre no later than 1:00 PM for security checks, identity verification, and checking in.
Q. Can I appear for CMAT 2012 more than once during the 9-days testing window?
No. You can appear for CMAT 2012 only once. It will be deemed a fraudulent activity if one attempts to appear for CMAT 2012 more than once. Admit Cards and picture IDs of the candidates will be checked, and candidate pictures and biometric information will also be captured at the test centre.

Q. What if I generate the CASH challan on 9th Jan 2012? How can I proceed after that as the registration last date is also 9th Jan 2012?
If you generate Challan on 9th Jan 2012, you can pay the CASH by 10th Jan and complete the registration process by 12th Jan 2012. For all existing users who have not paid their CASH after generating CHALLAN or are waiting for their data to get updated on the portal, the last date of application form submission will be 12th Jan 2012
Q. Changing of preferred test city
Can I change my preferred test city after I have submitted my form?
No. No data can be changed once the form is finally submitted.
Q. Can I cancel the test?
No. Under no circumstances will a cancellation/refund be allowed.
Q. If I do not take my test, will I be eligible for a refund?
No. Your fees will not be refunded in case you do not appear for your test as per your scheduled location, date and time
Q. What is the reporting time for the test?
One Hr and Thirty minutes prior to the test time. For the test beginning at 9.30 am, you must reach the test centre no later than 8:00 AM. Similarly for the test beginning at 2.30 pm, you must reach the test centre no later than 1:00 PM.
Q. What are the identification documents required to be carried to the test centre?
Candidates will need to bring the following identification documents on the test day: a) ATTESTED COPY of CMAT 2012 Admit Card with recent passport sized photo pasted on it. b) At least one original (not photocopied / scanned copy) and valid (not expired) photo identification. The name on your photo identification must match your name as entered in the CMAT application. Acceptable forms of photo identification types are limited to Driver's license, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, UID card or a notarized Affidavit (in English) with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address. Photocopies of the original are not acceptable. Candidates will not be permitted to take the test if photo identification is not presented. c) Notarized copy of Xth Mark sheet or equivalent.The name on your Xth of equivalent mark sheet must match your name as entered in the CMAT application. Important: ATTESTED COPY of Admit Card and one photo identification, mentioned above, are mandatory in order to take test. SC/ST candidates are required to bring the valid caste certificate in Original and an ATTESTED photocopy. Physically Disabled candidates are required to bring the valid Disability certificate in Original and an ATTESTED photocopy. Note: You will have to store all other personal items at the test centre at your own risk. Please do not bring any other items to the test centre, as they are not permitted into the testing centre.
Q. Does the name need to match with the names appearing on the identification documents?
Ans. Your name needs to be exactly identical to the name on your Xth Mark sheet or equivalent. Note: - If the name has been changed due to events such as marriage, you must show the relevant document mentioned below and submit a photocopy at the time of the test, interview and at the time of joining a programme. •Marriage Certificate, Divorce Decree, Legal Name Change Document
Q. What are the permitted materials I can bring with me to the test centre?
None. You will not be permitted to bring any personal items to the test centre, including but not limited to wrist-watch, cellphones, calculators, etc.
Q. What is the duration and pattern of the test?
The total duration is 3 hours. CMAT is a multiple choice test, delivered in 4 sections, The actual test will contain 100 questions. For further details, refer to Test Duration & Pattern.
Q. Do I have any breaks during the test?
No, you will not be given any breaks during the test.
Q. Will I be provided with any scratch paper for rough work and calculations during the test?
At the test centre, each candidate will be seated at a desk with a computer terminal and he/she will be provided with a scratch paper for calculations. Rough work cannot be done on any other paper/sheet, as nothing will be allowed inside the testing room. On completion of the test, candidates will have to hand back all the scratch paper to the Administrator.

Can I make any changes to my postal address after I have submitted my application form?

PHYSICALLY DISABLED (PD) CANDIDATES
Q. Who is eligible to take the test under the Physically Disabled category?
As per the “Persons with Disability Act, 1995”, candidate qualifies to be a Physically Disabled (PD) candidate if he/she suffers from any of the listed disabilities, to the extent of not less than 40% as certified by a medical authority. Q. If I have done Graduation through PART TIME or DISTANCE LEARNING MODE, am I eligible to apply for CMAT exam?
Yes; as long as it is approved by respective statutory bodies.
Q. Will CMAT score be considered for admissions to Part Time MBA courses?
CMAT score will be considered for admissions to all AICTE approved part-time programs.
Q. Will there be a sectional cut off in the examination?
No; there be no sectional cut off in the CMAT examination.
Q. How long is the CMAT 2012 exam score valid?
The CMAT 2012 exam score will be valid for one year.
Q. I have learnt that the test will not disqualify anybody, but will just give a rank to all test takers. The colleges, based on their individual merit list can decide if candidate of a certain rank is eligible for admission. Is the CMAT score only to rank candidates?
Yes, CMAT has been designed to rank all the candidates who appear in the test based on their aptitude towards the management education in the order of their merit. The objective of the test is not to eliminate the candidates from the process of seeking admission in the AICTE approved management programmes, rather to facilitate the institutions to select the suitable candidates as per their merit.
Q. Can I give CMAT exam a paper pencil mode later in case I missed the Online examination?
CMAT is a computer based online exam scheduled in two sessions from 20th to 28th February, 2012. There will no other mode of test including paper pencil exam later at any stage for CMAT.
